Where your coffee’s journey and impact are easy to explore.

At Change Coffee, transparency is not a box we tick. It is a promise we make. We believe workplaces deserve suppliers who take responsibility for every step of the journey from farm to cup. That is why we share our sourcing, our governance and our impact in a clear and accessible way. We direct part of our sales revenue to impact today, while building towards reinvesting 100% of profits.

See the Change Coffee Impact Report FY25 for a detailed summary of our program contributions and impact.

ESG at Change Coffee

Built for procurement and sustainability teams

  • Ethical origins with full traceability

Every coffee we buy is fully traceable to the farm or cooperative. We work with import partners who provide detailed origin information for each lot, including farm or cooperative name, region and harvest details. Our supply base includes coffees sourced through Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance certified supply chains, as well as coffees sourced via B Corp certified import partners who maintain robust, transparent sourcing systems. This combination gives us confidence in traceability and responsible practices across every lot we select.

  • Deforestation protection

Many of our coffees come through independently certified supply chains, including Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance. These certification systems include strict environmental criteria such as land-use monitoring, protection of forests and traceable origin data. This reduces deforestation risk and supports responsible sourcing aligned with global expectations for sustainable coffee.

  • Supporting regenerative agriculture (FMNR)

In FY25, more than fifty thousand dollars from Change Coffee contributed to World Vision’s Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) programs. FMNR is a simple, proven approach that restores tree cover and soil health by nurturing existing root systems. As trees return, biodiversity strengthens, erosion reduces and communities build resilience to climate impacts.

  • Packaging that fits the future

All Change Coffee bean bags are 100 percent kerbside recyclable within standard Australian recycling systems. We continue to explore better materials and lower-impact options for other products as technology evolves.

Social Responsibility

Fair compensation and stronger livelihoods

Where we buy from within Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified supply chains, farmers benefit from the protections these systems require. These include minimum pricing safeguards, community premiums, safe labour practices and living-income benchmarks. Some of our coffees are roasted through Commonfolk Coffee, a certified B Corp independently assessed for worker wellbeing, ethical operations and environmental responsibility. Together, these standards help ensure livelihoods are protected across the journey from farm to cup.

Safe and ethical roasting

Our coffee is roasted across two sites. Some coffees are roasted through Commonfolk Coffee, a certified B Corp known for ethical and environmentally responsible operations. We partner with Commonfolk because they help us serve workplaces that require a full suite of services, including machine supply, maintenance and technical support. This partnership allows us to reach more customers, meet broader service needs and ultimately create more impact. All coffees roasted through Commonfolk remain Change Coffee products. The remaining coffees are roasted in our own roastery under World Vision Australia’s governance ecosystem. All roasting partners operate under our Supplier Code of Conduct, which requires safe workplaces, ethical behaviour and transparent operations.

Powered by smallholder communities

All Change Coffee beans are sourced from smallholder farming communities, many of whom belong to cooperatives that provide training, market access and community-led development. Our import partners know their producers personally and provide detailed traceability for every lot we select.
