Young Mob (First Nations)
Share
Young Mob is deeply rooted in community partnerships, with local First Nations organisations like Waagan Galga leading delivery in the Hunter Valley (Wonnarua Country). Designed by First Nations people, the program supports young people aged 10-17 attending disadvantaged schools in Sydney and the Hunter Valley, helping them embrace opportunities at school and in life.
At its core, Young Mob is about raising young people with Strong Spirit-a strong cultural identity, self-belief, personal wellbeing and solid connections. This foundation positions young people for success at school and beyond, including further education/training and employment.
Cultural identity and local knowledge remain at the heart of every session. From school-based activities to on-Country experiences, young people step into leadership roles and build confidence — changing their stories, embracing their culture, and walking forward with strength.
